nother bird perches on cage for some foreground bird-age, and I’ve added the hand.  I’m hoping that’s a natural enough pose for “clinging to cage bars” Hands are so much fun to draw.  Sometimes I sit and gaze at my own for a little while. Is contemplating your thumb more productive than contemplating your navel?

My grandmother had a wrought iron wall piece for hanging pots and pans, that has very much inspired the way I’m rendering this. Starting to come together, I think.

Another step, blocking out the birdcage and defining her clothing a little more closely.  I’m really glad that I can take some time to draw right now, it’s soothing. It fills the space around me.
