Still in the refining stage. It takes more time than the rest combined, really.  The strings are shoe laces, ending them gathered in little plastic tubes. The branch hands are so much fun to do.

WIP FitS Window, Part 12

More late night refining, this little hand is the most recent. This apple has no eyes, but a larger chin. I don’t know if I could eat fruit that had a chin. This one may be the bad one on the tree that never gets quite ripe enough to eat.

So I spent all night awake last night… again.  I swear that art happens more easily at 4am, but I cannot offer any explanation.  I did a lot tonight… a lot of tiny tiny things, so I’m going to post some before and after detail shots. First, as soon as I imagined the hands on [...]

Okay I’ve done a bunch on this. I’ll pull back out to show the major overall changes in the next step probably but I wanted to do some details of the fruit and the cleaned up string. The deer has a ruby eye.  Fruit eye.

I did a whole lot last night but was too tired to post it when I was done and not smart enough to post in a couple more steps as I went along.  Here is the string, and the beginning of color, and a preview of the first round of shading.  I’ve given up on [...]

Blocking out some of the shading! This time I don’t have that much interesting to say, other than Controller, Controller is good music to draw to. This design is going to really suck at being a stained glass window.

So if branches have hands, maybe fruit has faces. I was going to (and may still) put the faces into the trunk of the tree, but the fruit just seemed too round and ready for them. I don’t know why they don’t have noses, but I know that an apple with a nose I wouldn’t want to [...]
